Surprise Singers and Singing Waiters bursting into song to the amazement of your guests.
An element of ‘surprise’ can add a unique ingredient to a party or dinner. Our singing waiters, or planted party guests, burst into operatic song to the amazement of your guests. Singing waiters works particularly well at a Wedding or Birthday Party either in a venue or at home.
The scenario is a simple one – our Singing Waiters greet your guests on arrival posing as staff or alternatively as fellow guests. All is revealed when the singers perform and prove that they are world class opera singers who have appeared at the Royal Opera House, English National Opera or Glyndebourne.
If a piano is not available or for the accompaniment we perform with orchestral backing tracks and can bring our own amplification equipment. Therefore, it’s possible to perform in any venue.
After a surprise start our Singing Waiters present an entertaining programme of well-known pieces from opera, operetta and musicals if required. We work with you to create the perfect programme for the occasion and include any special request. Our repertoire can include pieces from the operas of Mozart, Verdi, Bizet, Puccini, and the lighter work of Offenbach, Gilbert and Sullivan and popular musicals. We can also perform an operatic version of a pop song such as ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ or ‘Wannabe’.
What makes us different from other ‘singing waiters’?
LFO engages artists who have performed with the major British Opera Companies so the standard of singing is very. Our approach is very simple and does not involve lengthy scenarios, but subtly join the staff or guests before bursting into song at the given moment. Once the surprise has taken effect we then reveal the true identity and present a bespoke programme of high quality opera and music.
